Kelly Tarlton. Located at the Corner of Victoria and Federal Streets, Downtown Auckland . Along the waterfront at Tamaki Drive .Tamaki Drive could not be blamed for believing it was all harbour vistas, sail boats, cappuccinos and ice creams, but all is not as it seems…In a subterranean world penguins parade in a wonderland of ice and snow, while sharks, giant eels, stingrays and scores of shimmering fish swim the ocean like depths of Kelly Tarlton’s Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World. Kelly Tarlton's is located underneath Auckland’s picturesque waterfront on Tamaki Drive, just a few kilometers from the Hotel. See the penguins at play or watch a shark swimming just centimeters away.

The Auckland Museum is located in the grounds of the Auckland Domain and is the best place to go for an overview of New Zealand's rich Pacific culture and heritage. Auckland 's imposing museum building stands in the Auckland Domain on the rim of an ancient volcano surrounded by parks and gardens. It has the largest collection of Maori and Polynesian artifacts in the world, and for this reason alone is worth a visit.

MOTAT or the Museum of Transport and Technology has a huge collection of vintage vehicles and aircrafts.
West Auckland is host to the Waitakere Sports Stadium, home of NZ basketball and is also the wine district for the Auckland region.
